Of much interest to me are the Online Ministries at Creighton University's website, which includes: Daily Reflections,
Online Retreat and Weekly Guide for Prayer. There are many other links at Creighton's Website. click here

When donating to charities, it can be difficult to know who the charity really is, their record and how much of the
donation actually reaches the needy. Additionally, there are many scammers out there who take advantage of our
generosity. Here is a link to CHARITY NAVIGATOR where charities are evaluated and rated. Check out the charity
before you donate! click here
You can't watch your children around the clock, but you can be vigilant and take steps to
protect them while they are online. Windows has parental controls where you can monitor
and limit computer use. Kim Komando wrote an article to walk you through setting up the
controls and also has created the 10 Commandments for Kids Online that you can print and
sign with your children.
With all the "adult" Websites" available, innocent clicking on ads can take you or your
family to an undesirable site. There are a number of Web filters available. The filters will
block a known undesirable site and show an alert with the reason. K9 Web Protection is
free. CYBERsitter is $24.99, CyberPatrol is $39.99. There are others, as well. The filters also
create a list of visited sites. The free or low cost programs are a good investment to be safe.
CyberBullying is on the increase with the use of the social networking sites such as
Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, YouTube, etc. There are things that you can do to safeguard
your kids. Read this article from Kim Komando to help stop online bullying, which can
result in a tragedy!
Montitoring your children's computer use is tough enough, but the slang they use can be
completely confusing. Here is a link to a resource to decode what they are saying-

Pope Benedict XVI: Technology Can't Replace God
Palm Sunday 2011 Homily
Here is the central phrase in this homily:
"Mankind has managed to accomplish so many things: we can fly! We can see, hear and speak to
one another from the farthest ends of the earth. "And yet the force of gravity which draws us down is
powerful. "With the increase of our abilities there has been an increase not only of good. Our
possibilities for evil have increased and appear like menacing storms above history. Our limitations
have also remained: we need but think of the disasters which have caused so much suffering for
humanity in recent months..."The great achievements of technology are liberating and contribute to
the progress of mankind only if they are joined to these attitudes – if our hands become clean and our
hearts pure, if we seek truth, if we seek God and let ourselves be touched and challenged by his love."
