Melissa Hollis

Hello! My name is Melissa Hollis and I am the new Director of Music. I grew up in Westlake Oh, and I went to Magnificat High School and then to Baldwin-Wallace College, where I majored in music. I worked at Southern Methodist University in Dallas as a music minister for one year, and then for the past 5 years I have been at Saint Leo University as the Director of Music and Drama Ministry, Campus Minister, and adjunct music professor. I am so happy to be back in Cleveland, and a part of this parish!

I have heard a very powerful quote that says "Vocation is where your heart's deepest desire meets the world's greatest need." Music Ministry is my vocation. I have been blessed with many gifts that I am called to share with my community in love and service. Music Ministry is what I am called to do.

"We are many parts, we are all one body, and the gifts we have we are given to share." This is a powerful message. We are all called to share our gifts, whatever they may be, because they are given to us by God. The best way to say thank you is to use them! If you feel that you have a musical gift, vocal or instrumental, I would love to meet you and get you involved. I am hoping to build a strong youth band and choir, a children's choir, and strengthen the already lively and loving 10:00am choir that has been so dedicated these past years.
